my remote control for a Samsung 40inch TV is driving me up the wall. It only works properly when you give it a good smack on your hand or knee, then and only th en will it change chanels or turn the sound up and down.
Can anyone suggest a cure for this, I have already changed the batteries a few times

Perhaps the batteries are too loose in the remote and is not making connecting properly with each other and the terminals in the remote

What's the model of the remote? Look on the back. Search on ebay.
