Corrie Getting Really Silly

Anyone else think Corrie is getting ridiculous?
Stupid storylines tonight - The tortoise, Eric, Gloria gold digger and funerals, Full Monty charity - I can't laugh at any of them they are so silly and corny. Does Coronation Street have a new producer, if so, heaven help us!

Annoyed with myself as I'm a hopeless addict. Groan inwardly about the storylines but cannot drag myself away. It's my guilty pleasure!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, there are too many episodes every week. They don't have enought storylines to fill them so they come up with the ridiculous stories like the ones at the moment.

Giving my age away, but the last two soaps I watched were Crossroads and Emmerdale Farm. Compulsive viewing for me so can understand where people are coming from.

Totally agree. No storylines of interest at the minute. Tyrone/Fizz/Kirsty saga is dragging on too long.

It's awful and probably time to give it up...at the moment I'm knitting while it's on :) They don't even talk to each other like real people do, it's all cringeworthy.
I'm fed up of Eva's mardy face...'nobody loves me, boo hoo'...how old is he for heaven's sake?!

how do soap characters always seem to find work nearby, when will Kirsty go potty in the kebab shop, how come the thick builder never seems to do anything but drink and snog the landlady, all these things puzzle me, it would never have happened in uncle Albert's day.

The best thing about Corrie now is Eccles chasing the meerkats - that gets me every time.
