Jake has a four-year deal to be the anchor of BT Vision Barclays Premier League football coverage. The deal with BT is not exclusive and allows him to work for the BBC and other broadcasters outside his contract commitments.

Wife Harriet is expecting their first child (imminently - it could be happening as I write this!) and this is part of the reason Jake cites for giving up the 'flying round the world' to cover F1.

Is there not also a rumour that he may be teaming up with Holly Willoughby to present ITV's 'This Morning'?

I love Jake! His baby was due on Sunday but still no sign of it. I was disappointed when he announced his departure from the BBC F1 coverage so i'm glad he's sticking around :)

I loved how he told the mum of the little boy asleep she deserved a glass of wine and to reward the children with chocolate- Dr Tanya obviously disagreed!
