The mark of a true champion now will be he who keeps his nerve.
Let's see if O'Sullivan can do it when under some serious pressure, as Selby has been a couple of times this fortnight and in this match.

Congratulations to Mark Selby, who has the rare distinction of being a World Champion in both Snooker and Eight-Ball Pool.

For myself I think his range of trick shots and doubles etc. -- his pool skills, in other words -- that he's taken into his snooker game, make him one of the more exciting players to watch. Nothing compared to Ronnie in full flow, to be sure, but the better man won tonight. Congratulations Mark!

I don't think he's boring, but what I find odd is that he's introduced as the Jester from Leicester yet always looks miserable and ill.

A superb tournament won by a superb player. I love the 'Rocket' to bits - the best player ever to have graced the baize - but had he won, i think we may have been in for more of the boring "I may quit" speeches which he tends to roll out year upon year. This defeat just may galvanise him into putting more effort into the rest of the season's tournaments.

I agree Ken. I wanted Ronnie to win, too. There are very few things as amazing to watch as him at his best.
