Agreed. why do they have to tell you what is coming next when you have just watched a trailer for the very same program? Also it always seems to me that he is sniggering the words out, most irritating.

With 4 national TV channels and 9 national radio channels, how can we be sure that we're listening to the same continuity announcer that you are? The BBC must surely have more than one!

He was "on duty" the evening of 12/08/2014, on national BBC 1 HD. ;-)

I've not watched any telly since Saturday, so I don't know who it was (but it has to have been Delroy Haynes, Matthew Jackson, Dean Lydiate, Duncan Newmarch or Phil Vowels, because they're the only male BBC1 announcers). However I'm wondering if he was around 4 years ago . . .
