Series six[edit]
Downton Abbey will return with a sixth series in September 2015; consisting of eight episodes in the years of 1925, 1926, and 1927 with a Christmas Day special as the series finale.
Christmas special 2015[edit]
The ninth and final episode of the sixth series, as well as the series finale, will take place on Christmas Day, 1927.
