Any thought on the new series? I felt Saga was behaving much worse than she did in the previous series. I only watched the first episode but have recorded the other just in case I feel like watching it. Perhaps it needed the relationship between Saga and Martin to make it interesting?
Thoroughly enjoyed it. I find Saga to be one of the most interesting characters I've come across and didn't find her behaviour to be any worse, a bit more anxious maybe, but as Jom says, she's got trouble in her personal life.
I had another go at it last night and did enjoy it after all. The new partner is very odd, I don't think his wife is a ghost, though. Strange thing to do with the full support of your partner.
Next week's is two episodes too. I think they do them all like that now, Arne Dahl was the same, and I seem to remember that the other 'foreign' ones were broadcast in pairs.
After being hesitant at the beginning I am thoroughly enjoying this serial now. I was really disappointed when the last episode ended this evening. So many threads intertwined. You were right rocky about the wife of Saga's partner. So sad. It does explain his behaviour though and makes him not so strange.
Last two episodes tomorrow night, and nothing listed for the following Saturday. Hope there is another 'foreign' one on its way, except for Montalbano, I didn't enjoy that series.
It's not British so that's a plus. But that said and having watched the last two episodes I have to say the main plus is the fact that it is simply brilliant! No spoilers by the way so read on safely.
I consider what I have just finished watching nothing short of brilliant and sublime. Montalbano is a different beast but I look forward to his return. The one thing they have in common is the word 'braw'. To Scots like myself it means good and now I know also in Swedish and Italian
Believe me both series are BRAW. To me nothing in the same British is remotely as BRAW as The Bridge and Montalbano. No wonder we're hooked!
They will and with their two dysfunctional characters intact and and an increasingly dysfunctional EU to play with the genre can only be blessed by their future offerings.
