The other girl stole his phone so seen the correspondence. Whether she knew what the phone would contain is anyone's guess.

I tried so hard to sort it out, but was left very confused about the real identity of the lady who brought the messages to Luther. I think Alice has been written out as she is working in America in a series with Dominic West (don't quote me could have got the details wrong but she is definitely in a series). We only seemed to see a minute bit of anything and then we were supposed to realise what had happened. I wonder if they will make any more? There is talk about a film on t'internet.

Ok this is what I think, in last series they killed off Justin because it was gonna be the last luther now they have decided to carry on with it and possibly make a film, so now they regret killing off justin as luther an justins relationship was special, I for one loved their bromance and admiration they had for each other. So now there's no way they gonna kill off Alice, but as she is busy in USA filming the affair they cudnt put her in this two part series, hence the new thorn in his side Megan ! Luther owed her a favour from his early copper days as you saw in the story, i dont believe for one minute that she killed alice when she got those diamonds , alice is far too clever to let that drip get her, however until alice ( ruth wilson ) can resume filming on luther megan will be the one popping up to bug him , as he said " hes coming for her " what ya think am i right ???

Alice is dead...the girl had stolen the diamonds from her which proved the fact she had killed her - the girl was going to use the diamonds to blackmail Luther (as they were stolen) into convicting the young girl in it of the murder if a little boy years ago...unbeknown to her Luther has got them back, so she has no hold over him- however she doesn't know this yet..It ended with him saying he was going to prove she killed Alice...

We will see Megan again. And we will see Alice she's not dead . It's convenient for her to be seen as dead because remember she will be on the run fur rest of her life I bet you she turns up in the episode they decide is defiantly the last one , there will be a twist as to why Megan had the diamonds , when asked if she killed Alice began replied yes or maybe not with a smirk that left it open for Alice to be alive they won't kill her off she's too much part of Luther
