I was a big fan of Mr Pastry, when I was a boy in the 50's.....here is a youtube of him ( I hope ! )

Mikey - take a look at "Talking Pictures" channel on freeview 81 or sky 343- they sometimes show his films on there - spiffing site - loads of old films, ones with proper stories and no dreaded CGI !!

I recall him, vaguely. Can't recall getting that excited about him, but I've no anti feeling either. The sort of entertainer who was worth watching (as a kid) if he came on, but wouldn't go looking for when he was in order to catch him.

Most of his stuff was simple slapstick comedy, and when did that ever go out of fashion !

Eddie...if you go to YouTube, you will find loads of Julian and Sandy.

One involved them recommending a place for a holiday for Mr Horne, and there was this famous exchange :::

SANDY: “Don’t mention Málaga to Julian, he got very badly stung.”

JULIAN: “Well I never saw him in uniform…
