morning, Sunday and the days are whizzing by. I hope that you are all in good health and that your day is a pleasant one. Do you have anything planned for today? A friend is coming over later to see if i can make a video on my phone, as i don't know how, or whether its capable of doing it. If not then she can use her I Phone to film what i need.

the forecast for the capital is a heady 31c but mostly cloudy, oh well it's been lovely whilst it lasted.

the hallway, as i am considering having it decorated and the guy i am hoping will do the work wanted it videoed so he can estimate the cost.
i had it costed once before a couple of years ago and the guy told me 1,000 pounds, which i declined. Half that would be acceptable.

its not as though its in bad order, but i thought might make a change, a different colour perhaps but not at that price.

I'd charge a lot less for the job.
But travel and expenses, nah, I'm overpriced too

the guy who i am sending the video to is local to me, he is booked up for a time but knows someone who might be able to do the job, depends on price of course.

have to get the video sorted out first, then get a quote. the hallway ceiling needs painting and the skirting boards, and the walls, but that's about it. If i weren't so disabled by my knees i would do it myself, also i get dizzy at times, so being up a ladder might not be a good thing to do when it happens.

Climbing ladders and getting down on my knees doesn't work well for me either these days.
It's too far up or too low down.
Alas, old age is catching up.

its the reason i would get someone in to do any works. Can't manage to get down on the floor to paint the skirting boards, nor up ladders to paint the ceiling. so pay up and get on with it seems to be the order of the day.

You could get to floor level and paint, it's getting back up that causes grief.

Hope the new boots soon break in well, Ozzy.
I have a pair of Blunstones, made in Tasmania, best boots I've ever owned, so comfy, you don't even need socks.
