Why do most channels have announcers that talk though the ending of every programme? Do they think that people don't have EPGs and TV guides? It's especially annoying if there's a nice tune.
And if I want to see the credits, forget it, as it'll all be squashed to a third of the screen. What a wind up.

It is hugely annoying and is supposed to stop channel surfing during the breaks.

As Ethel says, the most common time when people move from one channel to another is at the end of one program and the begining of the other (during credits or adverts).

To try and keep people on the same channel they try and tempt you with what is coming next.

I find it REALLY annoying at the end of films, just as you get to the final scene of some emotional film and the music plays and you are feeling the emotion.

The credits start and some prat says
"Fancy a laugh, well how about Carry on Cowboy this afternoon".

Or they talk over the final song on the film credits.

SO ANNOYING !!!!
It annoys me the way the credits have been "shrunk". It`s now almost impossible to read them.
It is also a ploy to mess up any recordings of the programme.

If that's so, then the competition for viewers attention and ratings must be huge, considering the number of other channels there are.
Still, their voices do nothing to stop me changing channels.
Infact, I now will turn over if they do any of the above.
