ok im really confused after watching ugly betty last night, after alexis came out why did the police arrest Mr Meade for the murder of Faye Summers?

Wilhemina bribed Betty's friend (can't think of her name) the seamstress/designer to hand in an envelope to the police in exchange for her clothes to be shown. Obviously, the envelope contained evidence to incriminate Bradford in the murder.
