Ive noticed this they might be trying to catch up with sky which adverts go on for ever

i agree mrknowall! strange - but no matter which channel i flick from or to its ALWAYS on an advert and takes ages to find out what prog is actually on (too lazy to look in the tv guide lol

curlyperm - I also find it extremely annoying that all of the commercial channels synchronise their ad breaks together.

Ad breaks in Corrie were 2min 49secs long. I was sad, and was doing media at the time (80's).
Maybe someone wants to time them now.
