Is anyone else watching this? It's completely hilarious! I do wonder whether it might be just a little bit staged - surely no-one could be that clueless could they???!

I think it's unmissable. Anne and David are like chalk and cheese and he's so not a 'people person', why on earth did he go into the hotel business? I'm sure they'll do well though with all the publicity from the tv programme as long as Anne doesn't drink away all the profits with the guests.

I watch all of these programmes. Nigel and Nippi in France, Brian and Andrew in Greece, that couple who wanted to be snail farmers in Spain... love them all!

But this one takes the biscuit. Why does Anne think her clients want her company? Totally barking mad, the pair of them.

ric.ror dont quote me but I Nigel bought Nippi out and opened it up as a bed and breakfast type place. I remember seeing a programme where he and some designer guy were going around buying stuff for the place then guests came to stay.

oh crisgirl you'll be kicking yourself, this is 2 thirds the way into the SECOND series, it was on last year and was just as funny when they were searching for the right building to buy to create The Chateau, comedy double act these two, and David has the patience of a saint!

it is completely staged, not just "a little bit" I wouldn't be surprised if they had a script to be honest. i saw it the other day, and in 1 episode i saw 3 examples of staging. In one, she was waiting just out of sight odf the camera, but you could just see a it of her, waiting to come in on cue, and in another "acorn antiques" esque moment she was standing completely still, realised the camera was rolling, startd to move as if she'd just come down the stairs to go and have a row with him, she was clearly waiting for somone to say "action"

Back to Nigel and Nippi - I thought Nigel had been dumped by the young woman he was datingm- but where did I see that?

Only seen one episode a few weeks ago, where the manager/maitrede(sp) quits. That David is over the moon but Anne goes out and gets him back. Then, right at the end when the manager/maitrede and Anne walk back into the Chateua, they go round the corner just as David see's them. He shakes his head says "boll0cks" and goes back the way he came from. Brilliant!

Asbolutely hilarious - i loved the whole 'fag hag' Ann storyline last week! They should release it on DVD as it is a cult classic. Plus tomorrow's episode looks brilliant with the thieving...

Yes my husband and I never miss it. Like others have seen it from the first series.But wasnt tonights so sad, those poor puppies.
