Does anyone else think its a shame he won't be in it for longer than a few weeks - I think he and Liz make a more entertaining couple than Liz and Vernon - who is little more than a comedy character now.

There has always been comedy couples in the Street - Maud and Percy, Reg and that woman whose name I forget. Bet Lynch was a comedy couple on her own. :)

But I do like Jim. He plays the character without parody. Very believable.

Yes but the comedy couples are never very funny and Liz is too good a character to waste on the new Vernon - now the old snake in the grass lying cheating Vernon is another story

Jim and Elizabeth to me portray a couple with a magnificent sex life!!

and yes i do know they are actors but they have great sexual chemistry....... so they do!!

With Vera leaving us soon we do need a strong, firey older couple.

Liz and Jim would have been ideal - a committed couple with problems.
