Gardeners World & Monty Don
3 Answers
What's happened to Monty Don and Gardeners World?
Since he took over GW, Rebecca de Thame, Chris Beardshaw and Alan Titchmarsh have disappeared as presenters. Now Carol Klein appears from home in Devon and Joe Swift is in East London.
Last week they showed clips from old programmes, including Geoff Hamilton, to fill in the hour
Won't anyone work with him and has he been sent on gardening leave?

Alan left the show as lead presenter a couple of years ago and was replaced by Monty Don as lead presenter.
And if you look at Chris Beardshaw's web site you will see most of his shows are now on ITV so my guess is he was poached by ITV which stops him appearing GW.

And RACHEL de Thame (not Rebecca) has FOUR children so probably found it hard to fit in filming GW.
In fact there has been a continous rotation of presenters over the years, as you will see if you watch the old shows on UK TV Gardens channel on Sky.
Plus the show is now an hour so perhaps they decided to broaden it out, rather than the whole hour coming from Barnsdale every week.

Not sure if you have Sky or Virgin but if so you may not know about the UK TV Gardens channel.
It is 258 on sky or 267 on Virgin.
This channel shows pretty much continuous garden programs, including old Gardeners World's with Geoff Hamilton and Alan Titchmarch in them.
And of course loads of other garden and nature shows like Ground Force etc.
