As a regular viewer of the BBC's "Question Time" I have recently witnessed a general decline of this once enjoyable programme.
On Thursday's edition, the BBC decided to include a cross dresser onto the panel. This person was Turner Prize winning Artist Grayson Perry.
One now asks, why include this person on the panel of a mainly political TV show?
What valuable contribution could such a person give to TV show such as this?
Was it an exercise in Political Correctness, BBC style? An attempt to draw panel members from a cross section of society? Or an equal opportunity exercise? If the latter, then why was there 3 Females, 1 Male (2 if you count the chairman, whoops Chairperson) and 1 Male/Female?
The Turner Prize is a joke in it's own right, but please BBC, don't let one of it's winners, turn Question Time into the same.

Cringeworthy how the other panellists kept a straight face was beyond belief, I commented on this show on a previous post. Question Time used to be a serious programme but has dumbed down recently with so called celebrities as guests, Davina Mc Call and that person Grayson Perry among others., What are the BBC trying to prove!!
Perry isn't a celebrity, he's a serious artist. I don't rate his work myself, but he is known for it, he's not just 'famous for being famous'. His clothing is unusual, but that doesn't seem reason to sneer at him. Whether his answers were useful is another matter; you have to decide that for yourself.

They're there to give their opinion, just as much as you are allowed to give your opinion on here. I didn't see the programme, that is true. If you feel so strongly, why not go to the next broadcast of the show within your area and protest, rather than lodge an empty protest on here?
You will notice, I trust, that this is just my opinion. It is neither right nor wrong. And I am quite soberly dressed (which makes a change)
