i'm worried that i may have a problem with my passport, which i need for a trip to america in october.
my passport cover is a bit worn and bent. the emblem has worn off and the photo at the back seems to have left an impression on the back cover. apart from looking a bit rough evrethything seems to be fine.
i'm worried that the state its in will cause problems and i don't want to turn up for my flight and discover this.

any information will be appreciated,
thanks

Get a new one. Better to be safe than sorry
you could exolain it to the passport office & see what they say - it can cost 72.00 for a new one - depends when it expires too
I would get a new one poste haste, as the Americans can be funny if they cant read whats on the passport, even the cover, why take chances,72 for a new passport is a lot cheaper than getting sent back and a wasted airfare.
do it now.
