Yes, it did happen, and yes, there were pregnancies, but it was never acceptable.
A man in his 30s having sex with a 14 year old girl would certainly be frowned upon.
You can see from this graph there were far more convictions for underage sex in the 70s than now - many more.

Many girls go through a phase of testing their sexuality, flirting and being overtly sexual with inappropriate men. It is a normal part of development.

trt, 30 years ago if a girl was having sex you could more or less guarantee that they were an engaged couple or that they had been 'going out' for 2 years or more. It was certainly not considered acceptable for a 14 year old to be sexually active, least of all with a 40 odd year old man!
