What did other people think of the Soap Awards last night. I didn't watch TV last night as I was out and recorded it so was able (thank goodness) to wizz through it quickly. Jordan and Peter Andre coming on holding hands and within hours of it being broadcast announced their separation. Did you think EastEnders deserved their gongs?

Utterly pointless waste of a couple of hours prime-time TV where all the winners had been known for over three days. If you aren't going to show the awards live then what on earth is the point?

EastEnders is the biggest load of misery ever inflicted on the British viewers.

Eastenders did not deserve the top soap award - it should have gone to Corrie without a doubt.

I thik Hollyoaks lost out big time - they should have got an award for the Niall / Myra storyline.

And Peter & Jordan strolling on were a joke. What did she look like?!!!!!!

Agree with you all. How EastEnders get all that recognition I can never understand. The double act for instance, why were not Rita/Norris, Blanche/anyone, not even nominated. EastEnders may have the odd memorable character/storyline but as a whole it has nothing on Coronation Street. I don't watch any of the others so cannot comment on the other soaps.

I think its a shame little simon from corrie didnt win, he's the best thing thats happened to corrie in a long time!!

I agree he is a lovely little lad as is the little girl who won that award - Bianca's daughter. She is so cute. It was a toss up between the two I think. Thank goodness Amy from Coronation Street wasn't nominated. She never opens her mouth.
