I'm a Swede living in Sweden but we do get to see a lot of your British drama series and shows, Parkinson being one of the popular ones over here as well. I was just wondering, how is he and has he been up to anything interesting after the final Parkinson show?

Beautiful pics jno, are you having your portrait as your avatar?...haha, brilliant :o) Or is it an incentive for me to keep on crammin' the custards?
A'noon folks...ooooh, what a tattyfilarious day we had, but intit tiring? And hot in the shops. First time I've had a sweat on for months. We had a make-up session! We were collared within 5 mins of arrival - did we really look so in need I asked myself - and sis said yes so I went along too. It was Urban Decay....<waits for the jokes>....& looked scarily young 'n trendy but she did a lovely job (considering) and I had eyes!! just like I used to have...woohoo. Erm, yes I did buy some things...concealer, foundation & a bronzer, a much better effect than me ole pan stick & rouge :o)
Then I doused myself in Shalimar* & Samsara* & floated round the shops like lady muck ;o)
Bought a mac/parka type coat from Deb'ams... some much reduced nightwear from M&S and spent a silly amount on one pr of shoes but you have to pay for comfort..and nothing like those blingy ones Lottie - like I could walk in those? There were lots of showy shoes about but there's a fine line between glitzy & 'tranny' :o) ....
and wot! NO handbag? No, so many to choose from I couldn't decide. Looks like I'll have go again :o/
Your 'whatever-it-is' was a thong Sweedie...<<<twang!!!>>>
*please note the next time you buy me some 'Ester' Vincent :o)
Bit of a random Q...ermmmm, has anyone been to Perth (Oz)?

Afternoon Tattyheads
Sounds like you had a nice day Robinia .nothing like a bit of retail therapy to buck you up.No handbag ? Tut ...letting the side down :)
My eldest bro used to live on the outskirts of Perth but he's now in York in the Avon Valley about an hour and half from Perth .A few miles is nothing to them ,I think they drive 50 miles to the shops :)

Having said that Mr S's cousin went and they hated it and came home after a couple of years .
Kit your shuttle and book is sorted .

Dull and dreary here .Funny old weather .It was a muggy old night after a chilly evening yesterday.Trying to unstitch me vest though is a job and half :)

Yesterday was one helluva day... :o)
I'm the last to know - probably assuming I'd be the worst...well apparently I've turned out to be the best (along with Tarquin who's already planning his free holidays :o) ) - ha! never assume owt where I'm involved - seems everyone's being quite negative which is a bit hypocritical since they've all boogered off & come back at intervals. There's no point in waving them off with bad feeling if they do go...besides, I'm not sure how to tell them that I'm going too...well someone's gotta catch the spiders.

The tree's a magnolia, I think, shaney. That part of the world's obviously a few weeks ahead of my garden.
Yes, Perth's a lovely place to live though very remote - days of crossing the desert* till you get to Adelaide and nothing very much up the coast. Some nice places down the coast, though. And the weather's practically perfect year-round (if you like warm to hot).
* people think Nullarbor is an aboriginal word but it's Latin for no trees.

greetings from the Nullpollen... my face is still blown up as if I had a tennis ball inside my left cheek - the tooth in question is one of those incisors that goes up nearly to the nose, so the remedial work has had wide effects, and I look like one of those old cartoons where people with toothache have their faces swollen and bandages tied round them

I always thought that was completely made up; it's the first time I've looked like it myself. It's not hurting (much) but I look like a freak. Sigh...

greetings from nullbrain, lovely & sunny now the mists have cleared, I wish they'd clear from my head...Oooh, hope it gets better pdq jno that's exactly how I felt with my square jaw. It wouldn't have been so bad if it hadn't been the face of many colours, the swelling plumps out the lines. :o)
It was a magnolia tree...just beautiful. They're expecting the ones in this country to put on a good show this year because of the weather we've had.

Hi Biddyfriends. Sorry your'e in pain Jno. Have a 'pennorth of God 'elp yer' and hopefully you fell better soon. Hope the rest of you are having a good weekend. The sun has come out here and I've put some washing out for the 2nd time this year. Having a bit of a lazy day here too Neti. My eldest son has gone to Belgium with his school (work for him) and my youngest is in Liverpool to see friends. So there'll be no phone calls today.
Cottage pie and veg today and I've put a rice pud in the oven. The only prob is, no sugar, but I hope the nutmeg gives it a bit of taste!!

Afternoon biddies. Sorry to say it but you all sound like smurfs to me. No it's not you, it's my ear, it's got worse instead of better and it isn't just the now constant tone anymore but complete distortion, it's like having a cheap radio inside your ear, some frequencies are enhanced but others aren't and some hang around for longer than others and there's a sort of... 'rattle' probably isn't the right word, just think cheap loudspeaker. And there's like a damper on everything - except on the "rattle"... I need to get to an ENT clinic, if nothing else to understand what's going on, but they closed at lunch on Friday, would you believe it. Or should I just contact our resident doctor in B&S topic, ha ha (joke).
And it's been f-ng snowing. If I do get an ENT appointment any time soon I'll be sure to wear that thong so passers-by can haul me up from the pavement like you said Robi. Is it okay if I wear it on top of my Sloggi Maxis though:) Ha ha it's reminded me of Quizmonster's Billy Connolly anecdote here, second post from bottom http://www.theanswerb...s/Question854422.html
Why is everyone emigrating to Oz? Out of a handful biddies, so many of you seem to be closely related to someone who did, is it just coincidence or is it common for Britons in general? Robi that is the son with the grandmonsters isn't it? :(
Beautiful pictures jno, your photos just keep getting better. I'm sure you wish the same could be said for your teeth, you poor soul.
That was quick, Shaney, I'll be watching my mailbox:)
