I'm a Swede living in Sweden but we do get to see a lot of your British drama series and shows, Parkinson being one of the popular ones over here as well. I was just wondering, how is he and has he been up to anything interesting after the final Parkinson show?

Special good wishes to Swedie. You poor thing you. xxxxxxx

I am still plodding through.
G'day all...welcome back Lottie...we've all been sending links at regular intervals...kept seeing you drive by but you never waved :o/

Not a bad day again, breeze's a bit fresh...puta says 13C, I'm not so sure 'bout that.

Yes Kit, that's what I thought too about the cost, costume jewellery's so cheap at the moment it hardly seems worth it. I'll think it out again...In the meantime, I'll check the stocks of handbags on qvc before they all whizz off to Norfolk :o).
They have some really nice ones shaney, I'll bing bong you next time I spot some coming up if you want to see them 'live'. If nothing else you can sit & groan at the presenters, there's one I can't bear to watch.

Well I finally went & had my armful of blood removed - after fasting :o(...good job I didn't feel like going yesterday it was madness there apparently...now making up for lost calories. My pasties & cream haven't arrived from Vincent I see...tut...I'd better order him something & pop a note in to remind him

I never had any links to this thread. I have just checked again. :o( I'm sorry. grovel, grovel...........

Am now waving madly.
Oh dear, profuse apologies I did have emails from someone called Maureen and Swedie in the last couple of weeks. I had been looking on there previously but hadn't checked again. I missed out the whole experience in Technogogy! :o(
<<<< neti beams >>>> Maureen is my alter ego!!!!!
What? Robinia, What? you have been fasting and didn't ask me to eat for you, that is so disloyal, you know perfickly well that I will eat for all of you when you are fasting, it's what I'm made to do!
Afternoon all
I 've not long come back from trailing round a garden centre with my over excited brother. A whiff of springlike weather and he's off . But of course he bumps into another old copper and then they have a long conversation about seed potatoes, runner beans and who's pegged out by which time I've nearly fallen asleep in the potting compost .
Still he bought me a coffee and a sausage roll, bless .He came back loaded up and I came back with a pot plant .
I can't get QVC on the teevee Robinia .We haven't got Sky or anything just the basics and if the wind's in the wrong diirection we get bugger all .
They do have some nice things though and my bank card's getting twitchy .
Hope you are all fine and dandy on this lovely day .Make the most of it ,showers on the way :(
Toodlepip for now .
Oh you didn't miss that much neti, it was from 8 last night (til 9.25 this morning) so it was mainly chocolate...chocolate biscuits...and some more choccy...2 mugs of builder's tea this morning + weetabix with lots of full cream milk & sugar.

Shaney you can watch qvc live online you know...should I not have told you that? :o)

I think my card's going to lead me to the Clark's shoe shop very soon

I'm having smoked haddock for me dinner - glad you mentioned that mrs s, I've got some in the freezer...I'd better open a window..
HI all and welcome back Lottie. Good to see you and get off your knees there's no need to grovel.
Just letting you know that Kit is having difficulties with her computer so may not be here.
It's been a lovely day here today. Been and had my hair done I've had what they call a root perm. Very pleased with it. Given it a bit more 'body' which I'm pleased about as my hair is really fine. Cost me £32 so we'll see how long it lasts.

Had my Plumber round this afternoon for a coffee. He came to tell me that my invitation to his wedding is on it's way .........for next year!!

Take care all have a goodnight see yer later 'gater(s) x
Better put ya hairnet on tomorrow Jude, it's going to be wild 'n windy.

Oh dear Sweedie, not having much luck again? Well I've been threading some beads to cheer you up...it'll also come in handy for hauling you back onto your feet, if heaven forbid, you decide to kiss the pavement again.

<<<twang!!>>>

Anyone else want one? Vinny?
- Ay up Robi, talkin to yersen again?
- yeh

:o)

I've been sitting reading some old threads of ours & laughing me socks off (I wanted to find something in particular & they're a bit like a diary & quite useful for finding out when things happened) I think I'm going to have to go through all(!) the old biddy threads & pick out some of the funny posts & put 'em all into a book for when we're sitting around in our twilight home. Sometimes it's the little random bits like this one...it was from last yr when the site was buggering about & the first post on each page didn't show until the 2nd post was made..this is one of those 2nd posts, hahahahaha

evenin' all.... back from a couple of days of uttermost luxury on the Riviera and thank you all for your kind birthday wishes. Got whisked from airport to town by helicopter, lovely room right above the sea with a long shared terrace rather than balcony so you could stroll the length of the hotel; big massage that involved being doused with warm oil for 90 minutes and being rubbed down until I was purring; two cakes from the hotel, one in the room and the other one when we had lunch yesterday on the upper terrace looking out over the harbour to Italy in the sun. The dining room had a special menu just for the mustards, about a dozen of them. Plus plenty of wandering around town gawping at yachts.

And did I mention that it was all free gratis and for nothing? It was one of the ones wot we won in raffles. Not that I want to make anyone jealous.

So on my to-do list for the coming year is a roof terrace, more mustards, and concreting over the increasingly swampy garden and installing a helipad. I think those should raise my standard of living more than somewhat.
That all sounds very swish Jno and even swisher when it's a freebie :)
All I've won lately is twenty quid for the Speccie crossword .I hope you have some pics for us to drool over .
Lovely day here so far and quite mild .We're supposed to reach the dizzy heights of about 15C today.Ten degrees more would suit me better though .
Joyful news though ,they are coming to put a new drain in on April 1st .I did ask British Gas if they were joking as it was that date but it's all kosher :)
We're getting a bit fed up with it now. Since they last cleared it,it's blocked again and I'm fed up with having to bail it out and mess about with plungers .It's costing a small fortune in Jeyes Fluid ,bleach and washing soda .
Are you thinking of publishing Robinia .Have we got a potential best seller ?
We could call it the Dizzy Dames Diary ,Tales of life in a bluebag bubble .
Have a nice day folks.
Welcome back jno - are we still good enough for your Graciousness!!!! Swamps and helipads (are they a bigger version of Tena?) indeed. Mr N has begun to lop off the algroba tree branches and it's lovely, no more sweeping up the damned black fruits.

I have my egg topper, a family relly in gloucester has hunted one down and sent it to me. she's a marvel cos if you want something done, she'll get it done although she's a bit intimidating. She's very into politics, so I don't argue with her!!!
Good morning Biddies. Lovely day here but sciatica is really bad this morning so am sitting with a heat pad on my back and hoping for a miracle!

Glad you had a lovely break jno. Sounds like something out of a James Bond movie with helicopters whisking you out and about in the South of France, massages, etc.
Must have been a very exclusive raffle!! The ones I get to take part in offer dusty boxes of talk and bath salts that have been hiding in someone's cupboard for at least 5 years.

And so glad you have your egg cutter Neti. It just makes me giggle when I think of the one we had given to us as a Christmas present years ago. Still, if it makes you happy.

Thank you Jude for your kind words. Nice to know that you can be accepted back after lengthy absences.

I desperately want to get out and go to the coast, but I can't drive with this leg/hip today. Some days it seems a lot better and I get very optimistic and then it goes downhill again.

How is your leg Shaney?

See you all soon. xxxx
Morning all...12C and rising!

<spluttering at neti's helipads, hahaha>...Welcome back down to earth jno, it sounds lovely...all I ever won in a raffle was a set of orange antimacassars :o(

I'm thinking of hawking the book a la JW's shaney...I'll stand on the doorstep & whitter on biddy stylie (or even Stanley Unwin) until they're so discombobulated they'll buy one to get rid of me. Good luck with drain, take some pics we'd all like to look into it.

Well my horoscope yesterday said I had to clear a big space in order that something new & wonderful could move in...so neti mi dear you're just gonna have to rein those bazooms in, that'll give us all at least half an acre.
"those bazooms don't need reigning in!" they need hauling up!!
Haha..Google Street Maps is getting a bit addictive .I've just emailed my friends husband in Kent and really put the wind up him .I said how nice their garden was looking . He mailed back and asked me if I had a really powerful telescope :) It was probably taken some time last summer . I don't think he realised they were on it .He's now poking round Norfolk looking for Shaneytowers .Hahaaaa......
I've been roaming round the MedwayTowns on a nostalgia trip .I've just roamed from my old school to Rochester Cathedral .Brilliant .

Tut ..who's that knocking on the door ....flogging her diaries.

Morning all. Well do I feel a fool. I went to Vision Express to play 'ell about my specs and how many times I had to go in and get them fixed as I had only had them in January 2009 having paid about £350. Well I had totally forgotten that all I had done in Jan that year was have new lenses put in my old frames from 2007 and Lottie I govelled with a big apology ha ha. anyway after all that they repaired them and put like a nut and bolt in, honest that's what the man said he'd done, and I think they will be ok for a bit. If they come loose again I think It will be time for some new frames.

Hope the back improves Lottie. I get back ache if I stay in bed too long I just stiffen up and have to get up slowly.

What a lovely break for you Jno. I loved Monte Carlo when I went but it was only a day trip on a bus from a camp site up the coast. I'm not envious of you, well not much!! Maybe just a bit.

The google map has been updated in our close. the fist time I looke my car wasn't there then the next time it was. Strange. I wonder how often the do it.

Coincidence or what . Netis swamps and helipans and tena reference which made me laugh. I had an email from Boots health club and one of the things they talked about was incontinence. Us Biddies are all supposed to be doing pelvic floor exercises to strengthen the muscle so we don't wee ourselves in old age.

On that note I'll say bye for now see yer later 'gater(s)
Will you lot shuttit about wee?!...it's all I seem to be doing today :o)

♫..I've been everywhere man..♫...well on street view I have & I'm just about to go spy on someone now. You can stop pulling your blackout blinds down, it's no one on here

Back to the jewellery making for a min...have you seen this? 55 quid for a big button on a wire?! They're havin' a laugh! I've got a tin full of them....just need a bit of wire.....I know, I'll yank a bit out of muggymo's electrics, she won't miss it 'til it gets dark..
