I'm a Swede living in Sweden but we do get to see a lot of your British drama series and shows, Parkinson being one of the popular ones over here as well. I was just wondering, how is he and has he been up to anything interesting after the final Parkinson show?

Yes Woofy I have to admit a shiver ran up my spine as the camera honed in on the snakeskin boots :)

Could be worse jno. I'm either sat at home dining with my teeth or sat at home listening to my head crumble;-)
Here's a multiple choice game for the biddies; what kind of precipitation has Stockholm had today do you think: 1) rain 2) locusts 3) MORE EFFIN' SNOW ??
Oh Woofy you've lived in New Jersey! As in just outside New York? *That* New Jersey? Did you spend a lot of time in New York? Did you like it, did you dislike it? And another thing, did you see the documentary on Leonard Cohen, I'm Your Man? Our national television aired it just the other day, it was great. You must get it if you haven't already. Here's a teaser featuring Rufus Wainwright. That boy took some getting used to for me (several years in fact...) but I like him now - and this is fantastic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4rQ03pl2Og

<punching the air saying Halleujah!!!>....hahaha, as if?....that made me laugh neti
Morning folks, here I is. Had a bad headache all weekend (so thanks a bunch for the spinning screen...not once but twice!) and yesterday evening I couldn't get on the tinter...too much chocolate clogging up the lines I 'spect. Have you eaten all your eggs then? ha! I haven't eaten mine yet, it's a nice big Guylian one.
Good to 'hear' you sounding brighter Kit, how ever much of the white stuff you had - there was a CLUE there wasn't there? - it looks like it's all gone again. Nevertheless, be careful, if you're like me you can trip over your own shadow..... hmmm, not sure if I actually cast one...?
I really enjoyed Frost but the continuity on Christine's hair was hilarious - unless much time was supposed to have passed but I don't think that was the case. I'll have a look at the alternative ending later....so please don't tell me if you've seen it. Yes shaney, I'm looking forward to Foyle! And new Ladies of Letters (on ITV3 soon)
Heck jno if your life's boring then I'm the living dead or sommink...I don't really think of it as such, for the past few years all there's been is humdrum or bad stuff to deal with...I'll settle for humdrum, it gives me a chance to put a few pounds back on.

No Kit, we never went into New York while we were there. We had visited on previous times in the US and neither of us are city folk, also it was very difficult travelling far as we had the dog with us and he wasn't a city type either. Actually we lived in a very rural part of New Jersey. Most of it is, its known as the Garden State. In thw 1920's, NJ was the countryside that rich New Yorkers went and stayed in for the summer. The road backed on to a nature reserve called The Great Swamp...we didn't know when we rented it but about two thirds of the land attached to the house actally was swamp...bullfrogs, turtles and all.
If you go to Google earth and put in Pleasantville Road, New Jersey, you can see it but it looks like the house we lived in has gone, we were at 144. Most of the houses there then were very posh, the one we lived in wasn't so its not surprising that it has been demolished.

I'm not a big city person really but as I get older I like the idea more...usually it's t'other way round...and I do have a sort of desire to see New York. Maybe I've watched too many American tv programmes.
<sniffs>...yep, there's an improvment on cat wee.....just... ;o)
No matter how many new ones I try I just keep going back to the old favourites...Chanel No 5, Guerlain Shalimar (or Samasara which isn't quite as old)

I used to live in North and then South London and didn't mind the tubes etc but am terrified of them now. I get very confused and dizzy in big cities now and look like a country bumpkin compared to city dwellers- me! who in the 60's wore two pairs of false eyelashes at a time and wuldn't get out of bed unless suited and booted in the latest fashions. Even wore full make up and best clothes to clean the house, boy how things have changed!! Used to love Mary Quant's Ginger Group , and the Dollyrocker collections!
At the moment I wear Burberry for men, or Fahrenheit for men, they seem to suit my skin otherwise I smell like rubber tyres, but, and you'll really think I'm loopy, my favourite everyday one is Té Verde Perfume de ambiente (and I'm not translating that, it's embarrassing) but I get lots of compliments and people asking me what perfume I wear!!!!
♫ Cheer up sleepy jean ♫. Well done Robi, yes it Green
tea room freshener, but it's not aerosol or anything domestic looking, it's in an elegant glass spray bottle. love it! Love the smell of freshly mown grass and on returning to Casa Neti this am, the neighbour had a man in who was cutting the vegetation up my little camino (lane), and the smell was lovely.
