The next series will be the last ever. Only about 36 years too late.

Is there anyone who will be disappointed by the decision?

There are some things in life worse than death. Watching LOTSW is surely one of them.

It's been shown in error for the last 30 years...

That report is spot on about it being the same episode each week. That Bill Owen keeps going strong despite being 157.
Yes I will be disappointed, I love the programme. Having said that so many characters are no longer with us, that it must be time for it to end. I will miss it, still I can always youtube episodes.

marval - hope you don't mind a bit of joshing about it. It has never been my cup of tea but each to their own.
Not at all bibblebub, josh away. I have watched it from the begining, but I understand it is not everyone's cup of tea.
Not before time. It was a lovely programme in its day but I think the heart went out of it when Bill Owen died. Before, it was the big kid (Compo), the mouse (Clegg) and the know-all (Seymour/Blamire/Foggy) with a few stereotypes tagged on. These days it's just a hotchpotch of characters with no clear focus and it's about time it was laid to rest.
No We want More People crying as they get voted Off reality programmes.
My father in law will be gutted - whenever I go round there that is all that seems to be on his tv! Not sure if it is different episodes or the same one stuck on a loop - they all seem the same to me!

oh dear, does it mean that you might have to talk to him in future?
It's just one of 'those' programmes, like Dad's Army, Porrige, 'Allo Allo, even Only Fools and Horses we play, he's dead, he's dead, she's dead, and he's dead....he's dead...she's dead.....
