Two registrations stick in my mind from years back.Bet you can't tell me when I had this one . It was an austin ATW621 and another a Ford Consul WEW 907. And I don't even know the Reg of one I have at the momeny off by heart.

Letter suffixes and later prefixes were introduced in 1963 so your cars must predate that.

I had the austin in 1958 and it was old then. The consul I had about 1960.

Since I passed my test in 1970 and got a £50 'banger' then (an Austin A35) I have little chance of remembering them all - about 30

SpikeyBush - your reg's seem a little strange in the mixture of letters and numbers??

......weird how you can remember all that but cant remember to turn the oven on if your wife asks you to an hour before she goes out eh?......lol

You are not far of yogi. It was a 1935 Black Ford Popular with running boards and a indicator which stuck out of the car when you used it. It also had a tin of oil and a duster in a little shelf in the engine. I do remember the number 390 AHJ. It had one previous owner of Essex Water Works. Now I have a mercedes sports car btw.
