I hope you will not make any "cracks" about this question.

Sorry if this question has been asked before but really need to know this. I have found a very small crack in my windscreen and do not want it to go any further. I have been told that if I put superglue in the crack then this will stop the crack spreading. Is this correct and if it is not then what can I put there instead?
Do I have to get a professional to do this or can I do this for myself?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

You don't want to believe all you read on adverts!
You can do it yourself - Halfords sell a kit, and I've used it myself - it's OK but a bit fiddly and quite expensive

At £30 it's not really all that worthwhile over a professional

Depends where the crack is on your screen John, is it in your line of vision? the thing is the damage is always there & it does not matter what you use to stop it, at times it can extend if you hit a large pot hole etc, if you are handy & depending on the car you can get a replacement from a scrapie but taking it out, Well that can be done, but time has to be taken especially with a bonded screen. do not be tempted or members of your family to press against it as this furthers the line of the damage. there is only one solution, New.
