Renault megane central locking problem

I have a Renault Magane hatchback 1.6, 2000, central locking operates but the hatchback doesn't lock, all the doors lock ok. I think it is the central locking motor in the tailgate, anyone had this problem.

alright mate i have this too, all of my doors will unlock but not my boot. i dont now the answer to it though sorry! i just always presumed that there wasnt an automatic lock conncted to my boot, if you get me. maybe im having the same problem as you!

Have you tried turning the key in the tailgate to a different position and then trying to remove it?

Some cars have this feature (I know mine does!) so that people don't nick stuff from your boot when you're at the traffic lights.
