when it's standing on the drive?

My neighbours' cars don't steam up but mine is absolutely dripping when I get in it. Why?

Blimey....I've driven you.......was that why your knuckles were white?

Ask Cory what she's been up to in the back seat.... ;-)
I think you have the same car as I do Tilly- and mine does that, so did my last one. The heater dries it in seconds, so it isn't a big problem, but wonder if it is the type of car. It ices up on the inside too a bit.
Not a lot Gness these days, not a lot....
I know, Cory....especially a two door......getting in is exhausting enough....anything more would need paramedics on standby.... :-(

I have heard that filling an old pair of tights with cat litter and putting that under your seat helps....as long as you can explain it in an accident I suppose.....x

Pixie, mine's a Vauxhall Meriva. It ices up inside too.

Gness, I know that you are an excellent driver but going for a spin on the motorway with anyone is not one of the things I would choose to do.
It's me legs Gness, small car..........
So is mine...

Gness... a motorway... tights... cat litter....
Sounds reasonable, Tilly! :-)
Question Author
I could try the cat litter even though I don't have a cat.
Question Author
It must be the car then, Pixie. How odd!

I don't suppose you can use old airfields now......that would do....I learnt to ride my motorbike on one.....then a car before I was old enough to go on the road.....that'd be fun...we could take a picnic...x
My last meriva did it, but Astra before didn't. Don't know if the glass roof has anything to do with it. I keep a small towel in the glove box too.
Think you still can at Bovingdon airfield, gness. Preferably when the market isn't on :-)
Question Author
We could have a picnic in my garden after you've finished whizzing around the M25, Gness.
Bit cold on an airfield on your bike Gness, unless most of the airmen were there to help out.
Question Author
I think the airmen have long departed, Corylus. :-)

Gness, won't be on her bike, she'll be in my steamed up car.
Yes....the legs.....feet on the roof isn't very elegant at our age.... :-(
I have never driven through a market, Pixie....but....I have been a passenger when a man did....I won't go on market day...... :-(
Airmen! Now that'd warm me up!!!!

Is it possible to whizz on the M25?.......Would it be round and round?
Cowards!
Thanks for making me laugh with your post, every time I get into my car (at the moment) and wait to demist the screen and rear windows I'll think of you.....
Do, Cory......think of me with my feet on the roof of a small car......and Tilly clutching cat litter filled tights....add a policeman questioning us just to make things worse..... :-)
Question Author
I have loads to do tomorrow, now.
Clean car windows.
Buy cat litter.
Find an old pair of tights.
Book Bovingdon Airfield.
Arrange insurance for Gness.
Buy picnic ingredients.

Anything else?
Question Author
I've never done the feet on the roof thing. I've always liked my comfort. :-)
