For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Why?....My car's twelve years old......I never turn off the air con....it keeps the air inside nicer and fresher.....and with the one exception of a mistake by a man my battery is always fine.....can't think what it'd do to a battery but others may.....I'm no car expert...
If you only ever do short journeys then do go for the occasional long drive.....give it a blast... :-)
