Had to go out early this morning and found to my amazement that I had to scrape quite a bit of frost and ice off the car. Very unusual. Took quite a while for the heater to clear the windscreen and the washers remained frozen for about another 30 minutes. Drove in sunshine there and very bright sunshine on the way back. Got back and it poured with rain for about 30 mins and then more sunshine.
Any one get the same?
Or how is your weather?
Cold and clear here in Suffolk, with only a very light breeze. It was -3C at breakfast time, with the temperature peaking at the dizzy height of 1C at lunchtime but it's now on its way back down towards -3C for this evening though.
It's on its way down here. Sun has now gone and it is very dark. I see that this country has got weather warning of snow. Only seen it here 3 times in 25 years and it was mostly gone by 9.30 am. Only stayed once and then next door (farmer) did shopping by tractor.
l-j...the problem with letting washers freeze is that it can cause damage to the pump in the washer reservoir, or cause pipework to split or become detached...all awkward and time-consuming jobs to put right.
Beautiful day in Birmingham, went out to get some exercise, sat by the reservoir watching the birds for a while, took a flask of hot chocolate with me. bliss.
