The Sally Ann, donkey charidee and all the others may be missing a trick in paying for adverts when they could get a journo or two onside to promote their causes in the Daily Diana.

No, they didn't think it through.

Indeed they didn't. 

We had lengthy discourse at he time and I came to th econclusion that Ms Reeves and her advisors took a similar view to one of our correspondents:

"i think people are making a massive stink over the NI contributions."

Basically, since it's a tax on employers it doesn't really matter.

I thought at the time when the correspondent made that remark that it was an incredibly naive thing to say.
