Is there a website anywhere where I can type in the basic details of a car - make, model, year, etc - and get an approximate second-hand value?

Thanks Boro. I can see this would be really useful, but the car I'm selling is a '92 model, and the one I'm buying is a '96. which are both outside this search remit.

Try www.parkers.co.uk. my boyfriend swears by this website. i think they do valuations on cars from 1989 onwards. hope this helps!

That's much more useful, although wouldn't you just know it, it doesn't cover my specific model (covers just about every other car I've owned, though).
