Vauxhall Cosa 1.2

I just brought a 1996 vauhall corsa LS 5 door, its a 1.2 cc model. I was just wondering whether models of this age had power steering, because my one was listed as having it but I am sceptical as to whether it actualy does. I havent managed to seek out an identical car so check so could someone help me please!?
