My daughter's Fiat Cinquecento Sporting (M reg) keeps losing power and displaying a red dashboard warning light which looks a bit like a spark plug spraying water. Is this an electrical fault or something to do with the fuel injection system?

this indicates a fault in the fuel injection system.
