Exhaust pipe - water
6 Answers
Did pre MOT check on wife's 'T' reg Daewoo Matiz. Tyres, bulbs, wiper blades etc. Also changed air filter and cleaned plugs to help with emissions test. Engine running in standing position from cold for 10 minutes. Noticed large pool of water beneath exhaust pipe. Thought might be cylinder head gasket but water was clear (water in coolant reddish-brown) and there was no sign of whitish emulsion when I removed oil filler cap. Is this normal? Also, no screenwash getting to rear wash-wipe. I understand this is not essential for MOT. Please confirm. Thanks in advance.

There's a complete list of the MoT requirements here:

As you suggest, there appears to be no reference to the rear screen wash.

my v reg daewoo passed its MOT yesterday - woohoo. My rear view mirror fell of ages ago and a couple of attempts to resecure it have failed - I therefore have left it off. When it falls of it switches on my hazards and drains the battery, anyway point is, you do not need to have one to pass the MOT - I got an advisory for that and for the rear wiper not having a blade on it - wasn't that bothered as I can't see out of the rear window as i haven't got a rear view mirror.
Anyway, it is surprising what you don't need to have for an MOT - so good luck!
