In the last couple of days my Micra has started making a loud noise when I reach about 25 mph. It lets louder the faster I go. I'm not sure if it's engine or exhaust or something else. Anybody have ideas what it could be?

If it's a 'whining' type noise then it could be a worn wheel bearing, in which case you should get it replaced asap.

If this noise increases, as road speed increases, the fault usually lies with a wheel bearing, or possibly a bearing on the inner end of a driveshaft, inside the gearbox, though this is not as common as wheel bearings. it is very difficult to tell which wheel station is emitting the noise when you are inside the car. Jack up each wheel and check for excess movement.
