galaxy diesel problem

hi,
Galaxy diesel 2003 model.
when you drive for a while, the engine suddenly decides to go at tickover speed, no throttle response. sometimes, if you switch off, it will start and run fine again for another few minutes, then do it again. other times , it does it , you pull over with the hazard lights on, then it rev's up and off you go.It has got worse , to the point where it only runs for a few minutes and plays up, it is now not driveable..
any ideas please.

I had the same problem with my Focus diesel was diagnosed and fixed by Ford Dealers it was the throttle potentiometer.Presume because they are both Fords they share the same technology. Does your diesel glow plug light on the instrument cluster flash on and off when it does this at tickover mine did?
