fiat punto makes noises on the engine area
i bought a fiat punto 06. it was fine at first no noises engine sounded perfect. i was told it was a cat d. went for it anyway. but recently i have been hearing strange noises went car starts and moving. i took it to a few garages at first. they told me the same things, but also that i needed to see my local fiat dealer and get advice from them.
i took the car to fiat, than they fone me back to tell me a need a new engine, and how the car is worthless..shocked as i was, i couldnt believe it. i just had this car for 2 months and its only 3 years old. so i foned my seller and he said they are lying to you, and try to take it to other garages. what should i do. get a new enigne... or fiat apparently want me to put my car sown as a deposit for a new car in exchange and said we will buy ur car for a 500...unbelievable.. i

I wouldnt get another engine, but get it inspected professionally to see if its roadworthy 'fit for purpose', its then upto you. if it really is in a bad condition I would seek legal advice regarding the seller as to whether it was sold with a fault known to the seller. If you sold the parts off it you would make more than 500!
Take the car back to where you have purchased it, the car is not fit for the purpose it was manufactured, was the a warranty with the car? How long? If you cannot get any satisfaction from the person or garage that sold you the car contact Trading Standards. If a Member AA, RAC & mention this to the garage that sold you the car.
