I had a engine rebuild on the 4th sept.. 2008 after the water pump siezed causing damage to the valves. On the bill it said New Valves.. New water pump..New timing belt kit... New head gaskets... I paid 846 . Today I was on my way to skegness when the engine died. The AA tested my car and concluded that No# 3 & 4 cylinders had loss compression. suspection that the head gasket had blown. Has it is not more than 12 month since the engine rebuild am I in my right to have it rectified ?

if they had in fact done the work they said they had done then it would depend on the warrantee they gave. Unless you can prove they were negligent in their work.

if they had not done the work then most certainly. not only could you claim in a civil court, but it could also be fraud.
