Blue badge holder
Hi can anyone tell me what the rules are for parking in a retail park with a disabled badge on show. My sister parked with her daughter ( who is in a wheel chair ) and she got a ticket through the post the following day. She did not see any disabled bays near to where she wanted to park ( dont think there are any) and was not there too long. Many thanks

In a private car park you have to obey the terms and conditions they lay down. Your sister needs to read the parking sign and if she complied with the rules put in an appeal. Everwhere seems to be different, and when I take my Mum out I always go and read the signs.
Prudie, one assumes that in a retail park it wouldn't be parking on yellow lines but in bays. Some say that disabled bays only for badges and some you can park in any bay with a blue badge. As we say, best check the site before leaving the car, I've always done that and had to drive away because of the rules where there are no blue badge bays and didn't want to risk leaving the car in an ordinary space just in case.
