How Can I Try And Find My I Phone 5?

I have lost my i phone 5. I asked my daughter to ring it when car was on driveway nearby and I could hear it ringing in my car or maybe phone was on top of car when I drove off. I have searched car several times and can't find it, have searched up long driveway and I can't find it. The next day I rang phone and it went straight to answerphone. I rang Giff Gaff, who I do monthly payment with and when answer came back from them it said try and ring phone again as it is now ringing! I did ring home, but I wasn't home at the ring and it was ringing. I have since then rung it again and now going straight to answerphone again. I was looking at setting one day and think the lost phone setting was on but not linked to i cloud or bluetooth in car. Any suggestions please. I am desperate to get my phone, old may it be, back. Thanks

The battery has probably "died".as it is going straight to answerphone. You can look around where the car was parked. Look in the car, under the seats push them forward and back as far as possible. In the boot and glove compartment.
