I realise that this isn't about motoring as such but I am hoping that their is a mechanic, or somebody who knows about engines, who can help me. I have a generator with a Briggs and Stratton engine and I wondered whether you could tell me how wide the gap should be on the spark plug please

I'm no mechanic and I know f*** all about engines but a bit of Googling turned this up. Any use?

If it`s similar to their petrol lawnmower engines, then your local library may have a copy of the Haynes manual for this. Obviously it`s useful for other maintenance tasks on this particular model. I found it most useful renovating an old mower I was given.

It is probably 0.7mm or 0.030" but I would need to know what size or model
