Before i run down to my local garage,can anyone tell me how much i could expect to pay for a new cambelt fitted for my rover 216GSi G reg

Try to get a confirmed quote before taking it in.  The cambelt on the Honda engine in the 216 can be quite awkward to change - it has a anti-clockwise engine which is different to most other make.  Undoing the bottom pulley bolt can be pretty difficult to undo if they're unlucky!

As for price, well, I'm totally out of touch as to how much garages charge these days.  I would say it will take about an hour give or take 20 mins.  Price, erm, including materials maybe �150 - �200?  If they use a non-genuine belt then knock some off!
