Whats the main difference between Fully Comp. over TPF+T

Since the law states that anyone can claim for compensation for damage to their property caused by someone else, the minumum legal requirement for motor insurance is Third Party.
Third Party insurance means that the person you crashed into can claim on your insurance for damage you caused to their vehicle. You cannot make any claims on your insurance, (hence its so cheap).
Third Party Fire and Theft (TPF+T) does what is says on the can. It has Third Party cover but in addition you can claim on your insurance if your car catches fire (somehow), or is stolen (and not recovered).
Full Comprehensive also includes Third Party but it also means that you can claim on your insrance for practically anything. Broken windows, stone chips, etc etc.
You can have insurance 'add-ons' such as any driver cover or any car cover. Any driver cover will allow any other holder of a full UK drivers licence to drive your car, with your permission, but will usually only cover that driver for Third Party. Any car cover will allow you to drive another person's car, with their permission, but again will usually only cover you for Third Party.

If you are involved in an accident that is your fault, it covers repairs to the 'third party' i.e the person you hit, you will have to fork out to get your vehicle repaired yourself.. If your car is stolen or engulfed in flames you are covered.
The main difference with fully comp is that they will pay for damage to your car and the third party car, even if the accident is your fault, which is why it costs more.
