what cars, if bought by a bloke of a certain age, could justifiably be rreferred to as 'a middle aged crisis car'?

I would buy a good car if I had the money, its got nothing to do with lacking anything, I dont buy a car to suit how society see's me.

It's no different to any other hobby, and some of us can afford to indulge ourselves.
A car is something to use to get from A to B
okay, seriously.. some people have to reach a certain age before they can afford a flash car.

I always fancied a convertible, but thought it wasn't practical with the kids.. and now I feel a bit old for it!
to me a car is about getting from A to B as well....but some people are really passionate about them.
my car is about practicality, space and most importantly! running costs!

I bought my present car for reliability, re-sell able price in the future, looks, automatic, & comfort, I'm in my 60s I did not by the car to please other people, as other people did not pay for the car.

I don't think it's a car at all - it's a big powerful motorbike.
I agree with Sara. Some of these people will now be buying the cars they couldn't afford when they were an appropriate age for them.
