Is the Key + fob in good working order? does it work the C.L.? If not there may be the poss that the immobiliser is activated try changing the battery.

the central locking button on the fob doesnt work and hasnt worked for a while i unlock it using the key the car has worked fine up until now but i will try changing the battery as you suggest thankyou
The ECU has locked out the ignition.
Either immobiliser system locked or supply fault.
I would advise getting an diagnostic check done, there is a chance it could be the crank sensor, but it's no good changing things willy nilly, good luck, dougie.
