Does anybody know how old this statue of Dick Whittington's cat is?

The one that sits at the bottom of Highgate Hill, surrounded by iron bars. I'm not sure who made it or how old the statue is. It appears to be a fairly modern addition to an older stone monument, but I could be wrong?
