Is there a way to connect my Connect my MP3  Player to my head unit, without using an i trip, I dont mind if I have to buy a new head unit.

Yes - my boyfriend has just bought one for his ipod, which is attached through a cable in the glove box. Much better than an itrip, and legal! They are stocked in halfords, but are much cheaper on the internet. Sorry I cant remember the maker, but you should find it easily enough at halfords.
