Is there a site that will enable me to let my daughter know where to find the cheapest petrol, (if there is such a thing) on the M1>M18>A1M.

There is at least one. I remember one called petrol busters I think

I've seen that one factor but I can't just put in "The M1" or M18.
I only know of post codes but with a bit of e-research I'm sure she can get some postcodes and put them in- or is she driving now and needs to know where to stop ?
At the other end of the spectrum, we saw a garage on the way to Gatwick, selling unleaded for £1.49 yesterday.... ours locally is around £1.36.

Yep. Never mind. Thanks.

Yeah boxtops, on a journey like that your in their hands aren't you.
All the petrol stations on that route up to Newcastle or Edinburgh from London are much more expensive than off-motorway Chrissa. I remember my brother being quoted £45 at Knutsford for a litre of oil which was about £8 in the shops!

It would be much cheaper if your daughter came off the motorway to refuel in a town she were passing. Doncaster is about halfway between London and Newcastle.

She should top/fill up at Sainsburys (or whatever petrolprices.com suggests) in London before she sets off and that should be enough to get her to Newcastle

She and her boyfriend made it to Tescos near Newcastle Airport for their first fill-up. Good going I thought.
Very good pricing at Asda, Fosse Park, Leicester just off M1 junction 21. One of me regular fill ups.
