Do I have to let Peugeot service my van whilst its under their warrenty?.

They charge a fortune and I know a competent garage who will do the same for less.

No - the law says that it does not have to be done by your dealer - but the person who does it must use dealer (or similar) parts and the service must be done to the same standard. If you were to have a warranty claim it could cause all sorts of problems though.

You should be able to get the vehicle serviced by a peugeot specialist who wouldn't charge as much but wouldn't invalidate the warranty.

Peugeot should (although they may be reluctant) be able to provide you with details of peugeot specialists that they approve.

Agree with tubeway, but the 'garage' must use genuine parts and be VAT registered.
